Marianne Croxton-LaCaille has garnered acclaim as a performer and educator throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. As guest soloist, Ms. LaCaille has performed with the Augsburg, Nova Scotia, Green Bay, Richmond, and Stamford Symphonies, the Seattle Philharmonic, Lake Union Civic Orchestra in the Pacific Northwest, Commonwealth Opera Orchestra, Columbus Philharmonic, Singapore Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. Chamber Orchestras include the Mahler Chamber Orchestra of Europe, New Zealand Chamber Orchestra and the Mexico City Chamber Orchestras, to name a few. Collaboration with many chamber ensembles such as Yin Yan Quartet, Orion, Trio Con Brio and St. Bart Quartets, featured new and unique programs. Music Festivals include Sarasota’s La Musica International Chamber Music Festival, Colorado’s Music in the Mountains, Newport Music Festival, Caramoor International Music Festival, the Colorado Springs Festival, Manadanack Choral Festival in New Hampshire, followed by a two week tour to Bombay, India for an outreach program hosted by the Art Atlas Foundation.
As a principal clarinetist, Ms LaCaille has served with the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony 21, New Symphony Orchestra, The Haddonfield Symphony and with the Sophia Philharmonic as an auxiliary clarinetists (Eb and Bass Clarinets) She has toured with the Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story throughout Europe. Known for her research into relatively unknown or unperformed works of the past and present, her unique interpretations and cadenzas have brought audiences to their feet. This came true through a recent Australian premiere of the original version of the Stamitz Clarinet Concerto No.1 in F Major for clarinet in ‘C’, which was performed in Australia last year. Future projects include a guest appearance at the Palestine Mozart Festival, San Antonio Youth Orchestra, performing the Pipkov Clarinet Concerto, two festival appearances in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, Washington. In January 2008, Ms LaCaille will travel to Milan and Frankfurt for music festivals along with an educational coaching of woodwind ensembles. As a clinician for the Buffet Corporation, Ms LaCaille has presented more than 80 clinics and more than 25 concertos in the Northwest region. Her teaching experiences include Master Classes in Vancouver, BC, Seattle, WA, Boise, ID, Portland, Eugene OR, Dallas, TX, Green Bay, WI, Newport, RI, and Boulder, CO. In Europe: Geneva, Switzerland and Sofia, Bulgaria. Ms LaCaille received her Music/Master Degree in Clarinet Performance studies with Harold Wright at the New England Conservatory of Music; Masters Degree in Music Theory and Arranging and a Bachelor Degree in Clarinet Performance from the Boston Conservatory.
