Violinist Eugeniy Chevkenov was born in Plovdiv , Bulgaria in a well-known family of musicians - his mother, soprano, Elena Baldgieva and his father, pianist, Vladimir Chevkenov.

At 17, he won First Prize at the National Violin competition and the National Chamber Music Competition. More international Prizes followed, such as the Alban Berg Society, Austrian Ministry of Culture, Ziehrer Stiftung, Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, City of Veria, Greece, among others.

Chevkenov has performed in some of the most prestigious halls in more then 20 countries around the world – Carnegie Hall, New York, Metropolitan Arts Center Tokyo, Osaka Symphony Hall, Musikverein and Konzerthaus Vienna, to name a few. He has earned a Master of Arts from the Music Academies in Sofia and Vienna . When he is not performing abroad, he continues to play with the Vienna Philharmonic taking part in their concerts, recordings and tours. In 2000, for his exceptional achievements, he was awarded the Honour Citizenship by the Austrian Government and the Mayor of Vienna. Since 2000, he serves as professor of violin at the "Gustav Mahler Music and Theatre College " in Vienna .

In 2002, he founded "Ensemble Concertante Vienna" and has won international recognition as its Soloist and Conductor.

In 2006 and 2007 the concerts of Eugeniy Chevkenov and "Ensemble Concertante Vienna" are under the Patronage of the President of the Austrian Parliament.
