Having been distinguished by the London magazine ¨Classical Guitar¨ as the owner of an extraordinary and impetuous interpretation”, Luz Maria Bobadilla has been invited to more than 27 International Guitar Festivals as a member of jury, interpreter and teacher. She has taken the Paraguayan guitar to stages such as “Teatro Colón” in Buenos Aires, “Academy of Music” in Moscow, The Opera Theatre in Cairo, the “Metropolitan Center” of Miami , The “Royal Bolivar Festival Hall” of London, “Auditorio Nacional” of Madrid and others in more than 34 countries in America and Europe. As an ambassador of the Paraguayan guitar, she has been invited as a soloist at the prestigious concert that is held to honor the visit of the King of Spain in Paraguay. Through her art she has been distinguished as “Distinguished Visitor and Guest of Honor” in the United States, Cuba and Venezuela . In the year 2000 she received the Golden medal at the National Conservatory of music as “Outstanding Teacher” In 2003 she was honored as “Hija Dilecta de la Ciudad de Asuncion” by the Asuncion City Hall, and in May she received The Golden medal for Excellence as International Artist of the Year” by the International Biografical Center in Cambridge, England. All of these prizes can be seen in the Centro Cultural El Cabildo, of the Senate of the Republic of Paraguay. She has recorded the following Cd´s “ Guitarra Clásica en concierto”, “The Best of Agustín Barrios”, “ Luz and the guitar” , “Paraguay with cuore d´Italia” together with harp master Nicolás Caballero and “ Retratos de América“ together with the chamber orquestra of Sao Paulo. In January, 2005, she performed the world premiere of the Mosaico Mediterráneo by Spanish composer Alejandro Vivas, as soloist with the Chamartin Symphonic Orchestra in the Spanish National Auditorium. |
