Tali Morgulis has appeared in Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Croatia, Israel and the United States as a soloist and chamber musician. Her orchestra engagements included Rachmaninoff 3rd Concerto and Brahms 1st Concerto with The Thuringen Philharmonic in Germany (2004 and 2005), as well as appearances with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra in Israel, Padova and Veneto Orchestra in Italy, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in Croatia and the Malaga Symphony Orchestra in Spain. Ms Morgulis has been the featured artist on WQXR Radio of "the New York Times" and WBGH classical radio in Boston. Dedicated collaborative artist, Ms Morgulis has appeared in concerts with Shlomo Mintz, Vadim Gluzman and Stefan Jackiw. As a guest artist, she performed with the Borromeo Quartet in Jordan Hall in Boston , and with the Jupiter Chamber Players in New York City. For eight consecutive years Tali Morgulis served as a faculty pianist for the "Keshet Eilon", International Master Classes in Israel under the patronage of Shlomo Mintz. She was also invited to coach and perform chamber music at “Apple Hill” International Festival in New Hampshire . Ms Morgulis participate in the International Piano "Meranofest" in Italy and in the "Paxos" International Chamber Music Festival in Greece. First prize winner of the 2003 Stanislav Stancic International Piano Competition in Zagreb, Croatia , Ms. Morgulis was also awarded the Special Prize for the best performance of a Classical Composition and the Award for Highest Artistic Achievements from the Zagreb Academy of Music. In addition, her most recent awards included 2nd Prize at the Pinerolo and the 3rd Prize at the Jaen International Piano Competition in Italy and Spain respectively, as well as the Audience Choice Award and 3rd Prize of the Ima Hogg Young Artists Competition in Houston, Texas. Tali began her music studies at the age of 4 in her native Ukraine. At the age of 15, she immigrated to Israel where she continued her music education. Ms Morgulis received her Bachelor and Master Degrees from the Samuel Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv and a Doctorate in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Ms Morgulis' studies were generously supported by the American- Israel Cultural Foundation. Tali was fortunate to study with such wonderful musicians as Esther Balasha, Michael Boguslawsky, Wha Kyung Byun, Lev Natochenny and Patricia Zander. In addition to her performance activities, Ms. Morgulis currently serves on the faculty of Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. |
